New Model Sharps Cartridge Kit

Please read thoroughly before placing an order!

This kit will produce a Historically correct, Federal Sharps linen or paper cartridge. At the hart of this kit is a crimper that gives the proper crimp just like the original linen cartridges. It will also work with paper cartridges, tailed and untailed. The guides on both sides of the crimp jaws give repeatable alignment and overall cartridge length check. There is an ejector that lifts the cartridge out of the lower jaw and acts as a ramp, so the finished cartridge can be easily removed, rotated or rolled into place before crimping. The backs of the patterns are covered in fine sand paper to keep them moving around while cutting. To ease the insertion of the end paper, a jig is provided with an O-ring that folds and captures the fine paper, so it can be easily be inserted.

Before ordering, the case length must be measured using a New Model Sharps bullet, from Era's gone bullet molds and the scale in the PDF, link below. This is required due to the vast differences in chamber lengths between manufacturers. The mandrels and patterns are custom made to order. Please print and follow the directions in the case length measurement PDF. Orders with out a measurement in the checkout comments, can not be fulfilled.
